Tutorial 1- sew a basic sphere!

Description

Here is a tutorial to sew your basic sphere! Requested by :iconespeon727:

Hope this is what you wanted! The reason it does actually need its own tutorial is because (those of you who have tried to make a sphere before would know) that it will turn out a weird shape if you don't measure up properly. If the segments are too thin, it will be a oval football shape, not a sphere. If they're too fat, it will look like a pentagonal thingy or something weird like that...

Use this formula to work out how wide and tall to make each segment! If there's anything you don't understand, please just ask!

By the way, once you get the hang of this pattern, you can tweak the segment shapes to make different shaped plushes! For example, turnip-kun is a tear-drop shape. Each of his segments is slightly fatter at the bottom to give that effect.

Have fun! :3

Some designs where I used this formula:
--> Archen's round belly
--> Turnip kun

Do we need to add the seam allowance when we cut the shape from fabric or is that included? I added an extra centimeter to the shape I cut I hope I'm doing this correctly!! Trying to draft a pattern that requires a sphere!
